W.C.W. IS GREEN!
Using prefab materials is less costly for you and a good choice for the environment. William C. Wallace Prefab uses a special furnace that recycles nearly all of our onsite scrap materials. When you use our products you also help the environment by eliminating lumber loss due to weather exposure, and reducing your on-site scrap by 85%.
History records that as early as 1885, Thomas Edison commissioned a builder in Fairfield, ME to pre-cut a number of homes and ship them to Fort Myers, FL by schooner for assembly. However, it was not until the more recent proliferation of cheap oil, good highways, and efficient overland transportation that the process could compete economically with traditional on-site construction methods.
